| LIBRARIES
Libraries for active choral communities present particular challenges. Luke Hughes & Company have recently designed choir libraries for Bristol Cathedral, St Lawrence Jewry, and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. Organists and choir masters face practical issues of indexing, storing, retrieving, collating and issuing (when under-staffed) 10-20 sets of music on a daily basis, often in a hurry.
What works in a Romanesque chapter house is less likely to work in a Baroque city church. As usual, we concentrate on the functions and only then on the aesthetic treatment.
